Inspiration for Sally’s work arose from her fascination with the human condition and the natural world, always wondering “why?” and “how?”.

Sally has exhibited at and curated for creative spaces across Adelaide and Australia since 1998, as well as running life drawing sessions and teaching photography. Sally holds an Advanced diploma in Visual Art, a BA (Psychology), Bachelor of Nursing and a Grad dip in Mental Health Nursing. She is currently undertaking a Grad Dip in Addiction Studies. Working as a Mental Health Nurse at the RAH strongly informs her work as an artist.

Sally is currently working in acrylic, oil pastel and pencil on canvas in Adelaide Australia.

Working as a mental health nurse at the RAH informs Sally’s work as she considers the human condition and the different ways that art could be considered therapy.

This exhibition was presented as part of SALA Festival 2023.
