Together, as part of The Hospital Research Foundation Group, we raised $520,517 to improve healthcare and patient services in our community.
On Thursday 1 June, our community came together for over 12 hours to raise essential funds to change lives!
Throughout Giving Day, our staff, volunteers and ambassadors joined in on the fun at our Woodville office by jumping on the phones to call on their friends, family, colleagues and our community to raise much-needed funds for our programs and therapy services.
Thanks to a generous group of supporters, we were able to double every donation!
Together, we raised over $520,000 with a portion of funds going towards our creative therapy programs!
Music therapists John Lattin and Dr Patsy Tan joined us on the day to spread the joy of music, and make an appearance on Channel Seven with presenter Amelia Mulcahy!
Currently, our music therapists provide services at the the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) while our art therapists work at the RAH as well as in palliative care at Southern Adelaide Palliative Services and TQEH. We also facilitate weekly art groups in mental health units at the RAH, TQEH and Glenside.
Thanks to your support and those of our gift-matchers, we can bring these services to even more South Australians after we smashed our target of $450,000 and raised 115% of our goal, receiving 1836 donations.
