Are you an artist interested in getting involved with the The Hospital Research Foundation Group -Creative Health? We have a number of opportunities for artists to exhibit in our hospital gallery spaces, as well as a bi-annual Art Prize.

Artist-in-Residence at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre

THRF Group – Creative Health is seeking expressions of interest to select one artist to undertake a residency at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre (HRC), working with patients on Ward 2A to create a series of artworks that can be exhibited in THRF Group – Creative Health Gallery at HRC in early 2024.

The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Creative Health Art Prize

Launched in 2021, the The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Creative Health Art Prize recognises and promotes the important role of art in health and wellbeing.

South Australian artists were invited to enter the inaugural Art Prize in the theme of ‘Healing’ within three categories; Main Prize ($40,000), Emerging Artist Prize ($5000), Veteran and Emergency First Responder Prize ($5000). Due to the resounding success of the inaugural year, we look forward to opening entries for the second THRF Group – Creative Health Art Prize in 2023.

Exhibition Program

The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Creative Health proudly exhibits the work of South Australian artists across a range of galleries in our hospitals providing a dynamic and healing environment for staff, patients, visitors and the community.

The majority of artwork on display in the Galleries is available for sale, with 75% of the sale price going directly to the artist and 25% returning to support THRF Group – Creative Health Exhibition Programs.

Expressions of interest from artists seeking to show their work in our Exhibition Program is held annually.

Video and Moving Image Program

Expressions of interest are welcomed throughout the year from artists wishing to participate in our Video and Moving Image Program.

The THRF Group – Creative Health Video and Moving Image Program exists solely in the digital space. Viewed via our website, this Program showcases artists working in the medium of Video and Moving Image Art. With the ability to reach an audience at the bedside or in the waiting room, this program aims to further improve the quality and experience of healthcare by providing accessible and engaging experiences for everyone in the hospital and THRF Group – Creative Health communities.
